About Me
Hi there, I’m Leo Barbosa, currently EVP, Executive Creative Director at McCann, New York.
Born and raised in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil, I started my advertising career back in 2004 as Art Director. Since then I’ve been lucky enough to work at some of the top agencies in Brazil, Australia, Canada and the USA. I’ve gathered a wealth of experience during these travels, on brands in about every consumer sector.
While in New York, my creative partner Cuanan and I led Pringles to win its first major advertising awards, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Andy awards, One Show and The Clio Awards. Under our creative leadership, Pringles also saw its fastest growth in history, becoming a $3B business for the first time ever.
At FCB, Cuanan and I helped the agency achieve its best performance at the Cannes Lions Festival, winning its first Grand Prix, and leading the OLG brand to win its first ever Cannes Lions.
I've also had the opportunity to write and produce 5 Super Bowl spots, shooting with some of the best directors such as Tom Kuntz, Harold Einstein, Karim Hue Do and The Perlorian Brothers, to name a few.
Outside of advertising, I like to spend as much time as I can with my wife and our 2 little boys. I’m also a Jiu-Jitsu fighter, an okay photographer and a dog lover.
